California Event a Success!

Poway, CA – Dec. 4, 2009 – The Holy Spirit University Foundation held its first informational session in Southern California since the Foundation’s reorganization on December 4, 2009.  Held at the home of George and Abeer Hage, the cocktail reception allowed Southern Californians the opportunity to learn Holy Spirit University Foundation and higher education in Lebanon.

Congressman Darrell Issa joined members of the Holy Spirit University Foundation’s Board of Directors and approximately 80 guests for an informal discussion on the importance of education in the Middle East, specifically in Lebanon.  “It is my hope to replace the lead in bullets with the lead in pencils,” stated HSUF President George Hage.  With a focus on education, Mr. Hage and the Holy Spirit University Foundation are passionate about building a better Lebanon through education.

This event marks the first event in the Southern California area since the Holy Spirit University Foundation moved its permanent offices to Washington D.C.  The Holy Spirit University Foundation is a U.S. non-profit organization that supports the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon and its students.
